Long Island Wedding Photographers: 9 Idyllic Venues We Love

As New York and Long Island wedding photographers, we enjoy the privilege of capturing life-changing moments in some of the most idyllic venues that New York has to offer. If your heart is set on a romantic Long Island wedding, here are some breathtaking locations that we love, each of which offers a unique backdrop for your special day.

1. Oheka Castle

If you’ve ever secretly longed for your own royal wedding, exchanging your vows at Oheka Castle could easily fulfill that wish. The mansion includes a hotel and lovely spots for ceremonies and receptions, so this is truly an all-inclusive wedding venue. The chefs can even create your wedding cake in addition to the catering for your reception dinner.

2. The Royalton Mansion

This charming historic manor can accommodate both large and intimate weddings. For smaller affairs, you have the option of hosting your event in the conservatory or library, and the Grand Ballroom is a stunning option for a larger wedding.

The grounds feature an array of gardens and wonderful spots for an outdoor ceremony. The home’s grand staircase is an ideal spot for some fantastic wedding photos, as well. You also could opt to host your wedding at The Royalton on the Greens, a sister property, which is located on the golf course with pleasing waterfall views.

3. Coindre Hall

The exterior of this massive medieval-style mansion is spectacular, and the interior will take you back in time to a more graceful age. If you long for a wedding with historic charm, Coindre Hall should jump to the top of your list. From a Long Island wedding photographer’s perspective, this venue is picture-perfect, but the cuisine also has drawn raves from couples who have held their event at this historic home.

4. The Mansion At Oyster Bay

Long Island seems to have no shortage of glorious historic mansions and the Mansion at Oyster Bay is no exception. This venue, which is managed by the same company as Coindre Hall, offers 120 acres of secluded grounds and the interior of the mansion provides plenty of spots for receptions large and small, as well as great spots for wedding photography.

5. The Barn at Old Bethpage

This property, too, is run by the company that owns Coindre Hall and the Mansion at Oyster Bay, and though I am definitely not on their payroll, I must admit they have put together an impressive collection of wedding venues.

The Barn offers a unique mix of rustic charm and elegance, and I love the reception hall, with its rich wood interior, but the grounds are stunning, as well. Here it truly feels as though you are out in the country, in a completely private setting and there are spots for outdoor or indoor ceremonies, depending on your inclination and, of course, the weather.

6. Riveria Waterfront Mansion

This is after all Long “Island,” and many couples long for that water view. Riviera Waterfront Mansion fulfills that desire perfectly. Not only can we capture wedding photographs with the ocean as your backdrop, but the venue also features a charming garden setting complete with a gazebo and an ocean view for your ceremony. The stunning room used for indoor ceremonies is equally gorgeous, by the way, so if the weather seems unlikely to cooperate, you will still have a fantastic day.

7. Three Village Inn

This is another venue that offers water views for your photography, as well as beautiful grounds and luxurious interior spaces. This inn can accommodate up to 250 guests and offers a variety of wedding packages. The inn’s lovely guest rooms and suites also can serve as the host to your wedding guests and wedding party, if needed, providing you with the ultimate level of convenience.

8. The Boathouse Shelter Island

This is a unique venue set in a 1920s-era boathouse on Shelter Island and features water views and a rustic reception space. You can even arrive at your ceremony via boat if you’d love a grand entrance. This facility can accommodate up to 200 guests, and you will need to contact your own vendors for food and drink, but for couples that prefer that option, this can be a great option to consider.

9.  Beach Club Estate

As with most of the aforementioned venues, the Beach Club Estate only allows one wedding at a time, which makes it easier for staff to truly focus on your special day. This addition to the list is notable not only because of its water view (it’s on the shores of Lake Ronkonkoma), but it also draws raves for the food and the chefs can accommodate just about any dietary need, as well. This is also one of the more affordable venue options, so if you are looking for a budget-friendly option with plenty of bells and whistles, this might be a great option to consider.

Of course, when it comes to Long Island weddings, these are just a few of the options to consider. There are literally dozens of potential sites for your ceremony and reception, and if you need help narrowing down your list, as seasoned Long Island wedding photographers, we can suggest additional options if needed.
